Impossible to buy applecare or contact support from abroad(?)/Latin-America
I've been trying for the past 24h to buy apple care for my new macbook. It's impossible.
My account is Belgian.
I bought the macbook in France.
I'm currently travelling in Honduras.
Trying to buy applecare
It starts with this form:
I can't use my saved card, and I can't change my region. My region in my apple account is set to Belgium. I can't fake a US address, because then it says my card doesn't match the region.
Trying to contact support
- Tried via chat => they tell me I need to call
- Tried calling => It's not a free number, and it drains my credits immediately. I'm currently in Honduras, and have a Belgian number. I can't find a Hondurian apple support number to call.
- There is not a single email to use for support.
- Downloaded their "apple support app" which doesn't work either:
So in short: there is no way for me to currently buy this warranty I'm entitled to, nor to contact them to tell them about the problem. Pretty desperate atm.
