Tahoe 26.0 iPhone Mirroring more than 1 iPhone

Hi everyone!

I had the same issue after updating my system and getting the iPhone 17. I also couldn’t change the iPhone for mirroring in the settings at first. What helped me was:

1. First, I revoked access on my Mac: iPhone Mirroring → Settings → Revoke Access.
2. Then, I revoked access on the iPhone: Settings → General → AirPlay & Connectivity → iPhone Mirroring.
3. I turned off my old phone and restarted my Mac.
4. After that, when I tried to set up iPhone mirroring, my Mac finally showed the option to add a second iPhone.
5. Now, in Settings → Desktop & Dock → under iPhone Widgets, I can choose between the old (iPhone 13 mini) and the new iPhone 17.

Open the Settings app ➜ go to Desktop & Dock ➜ Widgets from there you can select a different Phone to use for Mirroring from the iPhone dropdown.

You can also Revoke access to the currently selected iPhone in the iPhone mirroring App's Settings.

It should still be there in Tahoe, just under the iPhone Widgets switch.

Can you revoke access to the iPhone under the iPhone Mirroring app settings?

Open the iPhone Mirroring App, go to the iPhone Mirroring Menu, Settings and "Revoke Access to [name of iPhone]".

The corporate policies may be preventing it form appearing in the Macs settings somehow.

iPhone Mirroring system requirements

iPhone Mirroring can be used with only one Mac and one iPhone at a time. Your devices must meet these requirements.

• Your computer is a Mac with Apple silicon or Mac with the Apple T2 Security Chip and is using macOS Sequoia 15 or later. Live Activities on Mac requires macOS Tahoe 26 or later.
• Your iPhone is using iOS 18 or later and is set up to use a passcode.
• Your iPhone and Mac are signed in to the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication.
• Your iPhone and Mac have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
• Your iPhone is locked and near your Mac. It can also be charging and using StandBy.
• Your Mac is not sharing its internet connection or using AirPlay or Sidecar.

Important: To use iPhone Mirroring, it must be available in your country or region. iPhone Mirroring is currently unavailable in the European Union.

Have you tried to revoke access to that iPhone?

Open the iPhone Mirroring App (on the Mac), go to the iPhone Mirroring Menu, Settings and "Revoke Access to [name of iPhone]".

Had a friend who still had a pre MacOS 26 install available. The drop down appears there but not on his MacBook that has MacOS 26. Definitely has been moved, hidden, or mistakenly removed.

Having same issue. Not a corporate controlled Mac or phone. Just migrating from 16pro max to 17 pro max. Everything I read keeps referring to this mythical ability under the widgets section and I thought I was going crazy. Not glad this is an issue, but glad I'm not alone or crazy. Looks like a dev broke something or moved this functionality.

I have the above screen and can’t choose my new iPhone 17. I’ve followed all the steps. I’ve revoked the phone and cleared the handoff on the phone and it keeps wanting to connect to my iPhone 11. Is there something I’m doing wrong or is there another setting?

Yeah, I did. Restarted my Mac and turned off my old phone. WhenI went back into the settings, I didn’t get an option to select my iPhone. My settings were exactly as the above screenshot with the iPhone widgets option only and no option to select an iPhone.

This doesn't work. Phone's off, mac's rebooted, under the settings menu there's 0 phones listed at all, there's not even a dropdown to select any phone there. And the second I open up iPhone Mirroring, even though my one phone is off, it's still only seeing that and only trying to connect to that. There has to be a way to 100% clear app data for iphone mirroring that can fix this?!??!

Hey! Did you restart your Mac and turn off your old phone? After doing that, when I opened iPhone mirroring on my Mac, it still showed both of my iPhones.

ive got the same exact issue. no matter what i do, my macbook will not see my 17 pro max. it only sees my 17 pro, which is the one i do NOT want to connect.
