iOS 26 Screen Time issue: 'One minute' setting affects all apps on iPhone

After upgrading my phone to IOS 26, I realized when I used “one minute” on my screen time, all the apps would also use minute. This makes it so that I am unable to use my other apps after my screen time has gone down! Does anyone know how to fix this?

To the OP and all those affected...

This seems to be catching on.

So, Report this Bug to Apple:

Do your Part: These are user-to-user forums. Apple rarely reads these forums on their own time as it is. So, provide Apple with feedback on this.  Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed. Apple will know nothing if this, if you don't report it to them.

To Provide Feedback:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all started after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed form there as necessary

"That's too bad. Once they add 26.1 to the list on the Feedback page, it might be useful for people to report a bug under the new version."

Spreading the Word of an Unprovided Item:

The most-recent released items are never added right away --no idea as to why. So, mention that this is in regards to iOS26.1, in your comments pane, when providing the feedback.

"I’ve half figured out this weird problem, if I use my one minute during downtime then it uses all of them but if I run out of screen time I get time mostly for one app (there are a few apps that still try to work though)"

This might help temporarily but with the fix I found “ I’ve figured out this weird problem, if I use my one minute during downtime then it uses all of them (except for all my “utility “ apps, my “travel” apps and most of my “shopping ” apps) but if I run out of screen time (not downtime) I get time for all apps per section one minute for each section” you can get extra one minutes

I've noticed this. It's quite aggravating. I've also noticed how Infinite Campus, Google, and my bank app are blocked (these are always allowed). Before the update, they always worked and let me sign in, and I never had a problem with them. But now, after the IOS 26.0 update, it's saying that my limit has been reached for the apps. Apple, if you see this, I'm begging you, please fix this.

yes but sometimes we offer you a fix, sometimes a workaround,

You have offered nothing. Saying "just don't use the feature" is neither a workaround nor a fix. It is a waste of your time to write it and it is a waste of everyone else's time to read it.

Clearly you can't comprehend why people use this feature. You don't need to understand. Your opinion of whether or not people should use this feature is simply not relevant. It's like seeing someone who needs help with their camera and saying "gee, maybe you should just enjoy the memory instead of taking a photo."

You had my workaround, you have no obligation to accept it, but definitely no need to criticise it without providing a better one.

Two current choices appear to be available to parental controllers, leave the kids to suffer, or turn off Screen Time, preferably IMO permanently.

Turning off a feature is NOT a workaround, just FYI. Your opinion on whether screen time should be on or off is irrelevant. You have got no obligation to share workarounds that aren't workarounds if you don't believe it's a bug or don't need screen time for yourself or your kids
