Apps menu changed on the Dock with macOS 26

Grrrr. I navigate and find apps by icons, not always by their names! I have dozens of software musical instruments and they were organized within manufacturer/company launchpad folders. Now I need to recall the app names or type some letters to view them using this App menu? Who thinks constant scrolling or typing letters to view apps is sustainable? Can someone tell me how this is an improvement?

yeah the app menu might be acceptable if either could still put apps in folders and/or choose not to display iphone apps!

I use my mac for different thing than i use my phone, so why would i want my iphone apps in there?!

Right! I don’t use a mouse. There’s this thing called a keyboard—learn touch typing, memorize All your apps names and utilities, btw why you just not using terminal and command line instead of UX..

I think visually minded people miss this piece of functionality. The organizing element with ‘pages’ is also a big miss. But… we did get the colored folders (when labelled) back since macOS 9. Who knows what might happen in the next 20 years ;-)

So, Luis, you suggest we replace one click with how many clicks and types?

You mean like this?

So instead of opening your application within 2 clicks you now need to type also. Plus I do not want all my phone apps all over my Mac thanks
