Unable to change 'Wired Accessories' setting on iPhone due to organization restrictions

I used the lockdown mode which did the same thing but when I turned lockdown mode off I was not able to change the settings to always ask. It went right back into the grayed out with the same message. This is maddening!

I have same problem in my IPhone 15 pro max. I updated to 26.1 and it has same problem. No MDM or other apps are installed! What we have to do?

It can be fixed. I just finished with Apple Support!

First step worked for me, but not the second- reverted to ‘Always allow’ and other options greyed out when I went back out of lockdown mode

hope thy can fix this with an update- it has been weeks

Only changed when in lockdown-when lockdown off- same as before

Yep, me too. This is a very dangerous bug and opens the iPhone to chargeport hacking.

This didn’t work for me. Setting still shows it’s being managed by an organization which is NOT true.

If that actually worked, you're one of only two people at this point that has said it did. The rest of us don't get that result; once Lockdown is turned off, it reverts.
