iOS 26 broken my iPhone 16 pro

Hello,

I am writing to seek help with a critical issue regarding my iPhone 16 Pro.

  • Purchase Details: The phone was bought on August 23, 2025, in Vladivostok. We currently live in Novosibirsk, Russia.
  • The Problem: Yesterday, the iOS 26 update was released. My wife's iPhone 14
  • Pro Max updated successfully, but my iPhone 16 Pro updated in a very strange way and is now completely bricked (does not work at all).
  • Service Center Visit: We took the phone to an authorized service provider. They inspected it and stated they could do nothing to fix it.
  • Current Status: The phone is stuck in a boot loop. It displays an error screen (see attached picture). We tried a full factory reset, but the problem persists. After the reset, the same screen appears again. It guides me through some button presses, but in the end, the phone just restarts ? returns to the same image.

  • Warranty Issue: The service center wants to charge us 4000 rubles for the diagnostic, even though the phone is broken and under warranty. This seems unfair as the issue was caused by an automatic software update.

The phones were set to update

automatically overnight. We would greatly appreciate any advice on how to resolve this. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

There are no authorized service providers in Russia.

There are no authorized Apple retailers or distributors in Russia.

Apple does not currently do business in Russia.

No support is available in Russia.

You purchased a gray market phone that was originally sold somewhere else. You will have to physically take the phone to the country where it was originally sold if it requires service.
