After updating to ios26, my notifications are now showing in dark mode based on my lockscreen photo. I’ve already enabled reduced transparency because I hate the glass effect but want my notifications to be in light mode! The rest of my phone runs in light mode

Sadly in order to have the lighter notifications you have to have the reduce transparency off. I tested it out and my lock screen notifications were light again. Hopefully this is something they aim to fix in the next update for those who have reduce transparency on but still want those lighter notifications on the lock screen. Hope this helps!

Try and force restart your iPhone to see if th issues persist
If they persist please give this as feedback to apple, please do so using this form
I had the same issue & what worked for me was going to Settings > Display & Text Size > toggle Increase Contrast & Reduce Transparency OFF 😊
same issue after restarting, i had initially restarted because my imessages weren’t working
The problem is the lock screen is not honoring light/dark mode settings. Hopefully Apple will fix it soon.
