Safari tab functions not responding to mouse clicks in compact mode on macOS 15.7

Upgrade safari and then upgrade to mac osx 15.7. Set safari compact tab mode. The function like close tab refresh tab etc function not respond to mouse click. But the keyboard works

Same here, also copy the URL doesn’t work in compact view. Switched to “Separate” layout, which works, for the time being.

Same, but right/two-finger click and selecting Close Tab works, as do keyboard shortcuts.
