Updated to iOS 26 from iOS 18 on my iPhone 14 Pro. The Lock Screen customization was retained, but the iOS scales the image in an unattractive way, and I can no longer "pinch & zoom" to resize and re-position as I was able to beforehand.
Further clarification.
I am unable to "pinch & zoom" to resize only when I choose photo images contained in an album. When I select one individual image from my Photo Library and set it as a wallpaper, I am able to "pinch & zoom" to resize and re-position.
This behavior is new after updating to iOS 26. I had always chosen a set of images from an album created in the Photo app to make use of varying the wallpaper image, and I was able to resize and re-position the image from an album to my liking.
