Audio Clicks During Video-Only Multicam Switching (FCP 11.1.1, M2 Pro)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently testing the Final Cut Pro trial version 11.1.1 on an Apple M2 Pro, 16GB, macOS 15.6.1.

I’ve run into a small but persistent issue: when using multicam video-only switching, there’s a subtle click or pop in the audio every time I switch angles—even though audio switching is set to none. This happens across multiple projects and clips.

I’m considering purchasing FCP, but I’d like to make sure this issue can be resolved or avoided. Has anyone experienced this before or found a reliable workaround? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for your help.

Do you have audio effects applied? Voice Isolation, EQ, Compression, etc.? Sometimes this can cause artifacts at the edit points. A workaround for some workflows is to detach the audio from the multicam as described here: Final Cut Pro Multicam Sound Glitches at … - Apple Community
