“Unable to Check for Update – An error occurred while checking for a software update.”

Hello,

I have an iPhone 16 pro Max and even though I have a working internet connection and enough free storage, I cannot check for a software update. I keep getting the message:

“Unable to Check for Update – An error occurred while checking for a software update.”

I have already tried restarting, switching Wi-Fi networks, toggling airplane mode, and checking the date & time settings, but the issue still persists. Could you please advise me on how to solve this?
