iMessage/FaceTime keep logging me out (macOS)

Hi all,

As of today Monday Sep25, 2025, I know it's a big day to release all new "26" systems.

Maybe the servers are heating up a lot because of the demand.

I am still on Sequoia on my Mac but it started to bump me out of iMessage and Facetime.

I have to log back in, the apps are shown as usual, but after 10 seconds I'm bumped out to the login dialog box again. It's not possible to stay in Facetime or iMessage.

Anybody with the same behavior?

It does this on 2 of my Macbook Pros and my Mac Mini

Just talked with Apple Support and they told me to request an account activation.

Here is the link.

https://iforgot.apple.com/unlock

Submit the account info (email or phone number) that is linked to FaceTime and iMessage and then they'll review your account within 24 hours.

It looks like several persons had to go through the same process to regain access to their iMessage functionalities.

The "unlock" link takes me to a reset password request which is NOT what I want/need.

But when I proceed through the problem on the Apple Support portal I get taken to: https://getsupport.apple.com/solutions/unblock-messages/form

And that seems to be specifically for fixing iMessage & FaceTime blocked signins

Did you see how many persons have the same problem, all from September 15th?

It just started to log people out without reasons... besides a server problem on Apple's side

I have the latest Sequoia version and this has nothing to do with macOS bugs.

The connection drops after 10 seconds.

It was a big day for Apple to release their OS26 and it's probably related to a glitch somewhere

Wondering which version of Mac OS Sequoia is installed on your Macs.

Apple support's online article: What's new in the updates for macOS Sequoia - Apple Support

Eg says: "MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1" and ...

"This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users."

NB: Please remember to back up Mac first, if an update is available & you choose to update the MacOS
