Photos missing on new MacBook Air after slideshow setup

I was having issues while creating a slideshow. I followed some directions but it led me to deleting all my photos off my new Mac air. I tried downloading them again...airdropping them from my phone to my lap top but still nothing is showing up. Please help!!!!

Look for your photos in iCloud.com, logging in using your same Apple Account.

If you deleted the photos with iCloud Photos enabled, and if the photos are not still in iCloud.com, then look in the Recently Deleted photos album.

If the photos are not available in these areas, then you will have to find copies created previously and located elsewhere.

AirDrop sends files to the Downloads folder, not to the Photos Library. Look there.

AirDrop is meant for just a few pictures or files-- it's not so hot for hundreds, so if you've got lots of pictures, it's better to use a cable. The best technique is to use iCloud Photos. One upside of using iCloud Photos is that it is easy to backup your pictures to a hard drive from your Mac. The downside is that people think of iCloud as a backup, and it's not, since it copies mistakes as easily and quickly as it copies pictures.
