How to pair Apple Watch when app is stuck loading on iPhone XR?

i have recently purchased an apple watch but the problem lies with my phone. i keep trying to pair them but the app is stuck on load. i’ve tried so many things like switching on and off my phone and trying over and over again but to no avail. ive also reset my watch time and time again hoping it’ll work but NOTHING. i am frustrated. please help

What is your iPhone and which version of iOS does it use?
What is the model of your Apple Watch?

I’m asking to make sure they are compatible with one another.

One thing you could try is to remove the Watch app from your iPhone and download a fresh version from the App Store.

Thanks. Your iPhone and Apple Watch are compatible.

Try to force restart the Apple Watch by pressing simultaneously on the crown and the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Also, make sure Bluetooth is turned on your iPhone.

my iphone is the XR and i’m on iOS 18.6.2

the apple watch is a series 9

ive tried that. still to no avail
