The “home” and “end” keys on the Magic Keyboard don’t function as expected

Hello Community,

The “home” and “end” keys on the Magic Keyboard don’t function as expected. When editing text, pressing the home key should ideally move the cursor to the beginning of the line, and similarly, pressing the end key should move the cursor to the end of the line. However, both the home and end keys behave similarly to the “page up” and “page down” keys. For instance, pressing the home key simply moves the cursor up a page, and pressing the end key simply moves the cursor down a page. There are already separate “page up” and “page down” keys available on the Magic Keyboard, just next to the home and end keys. Can anyone suggest how to modify the home key to move the cursor to the beginning of a line and the end key to move the cursor to the end of a line?

Yes, in all apps, the Home and End keys don’t even work. Pressing the Home key doesn’t take the cursor to the start of the line, and pressing the End key doesn’t take the cursor to the end of the line at all. However, pressing them doesn’t make any movement of the cursor in any app. For instance, in Safari browser, if I’m trying to type something in a textbox, pressing the Home or End keys simply works as page up and page down respectively, but they don’t move the cursor to the start or end of the line.
