music app crashes and does all kinds of weird stuff

returned a new Mac air because nobody could fix the music app not responding when I press play. now after 3 months still dealing with support trying to get the music app fixed.

then got a Mac mini with same software bugs and now the eject icon turns white sometimes. sometimes says no cd when there is a cd. sometimes shows 2 cd players when there's only one. sometimes locks up when cd inserted. sometimes won't play cds and all kinds of other issues.

so what do I do now? I've had enough of this. why does os15 have so many problems that have so far been unsolvable?

can I delete the music app and use something else???

An Apple support specialist was able to help me isolate cd player/bluetooth software interaction issues with the Music App. When a bluetooth headset is connected and I play a cd via Music App or insert a cd into the cd player it causes Music to lock up or crash which then requires force quitting the app. When I don't use a bluetooth headset and stick a cd in the external player, it automatically starts playing. If the headset is then connected I sometimes get the spinning pinwheel of death. Somehow there is an adverse interaction between the bluetooth, external cd player and the Music App.

After some extensive trouble shooting with a diagnostic app, we were able to record what the music app was doing and hopefully the issue can be diagnosed and fixed. This issue affects 15.5, 15.6, and 15.6.1 OS updates on both the M4 Mac Air and M4 Mac Mini.
