It’s the Audio Unit Extensions, if you have a session(s) that you aren’t using the Extensions, those open with Bluetooth just fine and then you can simply switch to the session(s) that have the extension(s) activated and complete your project. If you don’t want it to keep crashing for that session when you open it directly while using Bluetooth then you have to turn off or delete the extension from your Plug-Ins and EQ for that specific session. The extension that was causing me problems was the Magic Dice (Baby Audio) extension. For some reason it got deleted , I guessed it happened with the new update as I recently updated to the new IOS. And when I reinstalled it, the audio extension, that is when that specific session started crashing repeatedly when I kept trying to open with Bluetooth audio as my output. I simply deleted the extension from my Plug-Ins & EQ and now it opens and works with Bluetooth with no problems. Hope this helps.

It’s happening with mine too IOS26 Bluetooth I use Apple AirPods click ok and then completely crashes Apple told me to revert to iOS 18 but I’m not resetting my phone just to have this issue i haven’t had any issues other than this with iOS 26 I did install the iOS 26.0.1 update same issue It’ll work maybe for a minute but then once it crashes once you can never reopen it with Bluetooth again without it crashing constantly. Frustrating to say the least.

This issue is definitely not resolved per the other comments. I just got a brand new Iphone Pro 17 with a fully new install of garageband and it has these precise issues. It crashes as soon as i say ok to that message and it has never crashed like this before on previous iphones/ios for me. it is entirely consistent when using bluetooth which is awful considering I’m a music producer and need to finish some work this month..
