For all practical purposes, iOS and iPadOS updates do not cause battery problems. How do we know? Because if the did there would be thousands of posts about it. As to similar issues, with over 2 billion Apple devices in use there will ALWAYS be similar issues.

What troubleshooting have you done? Checked for apps that are using excessive energy in Settings/Battery? Restarted your iPad? deleted any VPN profiles you have installed? Deleted any so-called useles security/trojan/virus apps?

How old is the iPad? What specific model? Most iPad batteries outlive the device.

And you can always take it to Apple for diagnostics.

There are no generic battery issues on any model iPad. If you have a battery issue on YOUR iPad provide some details and other users in this forum can provide guidance.

Of all of the billions of smartphones and tablets that have been bought over the past 15 years there has not been even one user who was satisfied with their battery performance. Maybe an exaggeration, but not much of one.

Maybe I should clarify what I’m talking about. I found my iPad had automatic updates on after one I found my battery life greatly reduced! To the level of killing my portability because now I MUST bring my charger and use it frequently depending on how long I was away from home or an outlet that I could use to charge up. And before anyone asks no don’t have battery swelling so far but I’m hoping it doesn’t go there. I have seen others write about having similar issues if not the same issue . Lets face facts these iPads are not cheap And while I did enjoy mine before these issues came about I will hold off spending the money until this issue is resolved. I hope this isn’t done on purpose to force us to to buy new iPads cause that ain’t right
