Set minimum volume for certain notifications?

I often can't hear Outlook calendar notifications, because I've adjusted my volume to be lower during video calls. Can I set a minimum volume for these specific notifications, for example "If not muted, no lower than [x]"? If not, can I set a default volume whenever I wake my machine at my work location, for example analogously to custom shortcuts on iPhone? Thanks

You can certainly set the volume using a shortcut, though I am not sure if you can trigger its execution using a location change.

One thing you may want to look at is a third party program that lets you assign different volume levels for different applications.

I remember testing one. Let see if I can remember its name... er.... I think it's "BackgroundMusic". I no longer have it installed.

I am not sure if it has a separate setting for alert sound levels, but it might.
