What are the dimensions of 24in M4 imac including the box? Will it fit into a checked luggage?

I will be flying in a few months and I wanted buy an imac before I leave since there aren't any official apple stores in the country I'll be staying in. I am planning to carry the imac through checked luggage and the imac will be in Apple's original packaging. My luggage dimension is 29"H x 20.5"L x 13.3"W.

I wholeheartedly agree with those to recommend shipping it insured.

HOWEVER, consider the following: a 10 Core Mac Mini M4 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD ($999 + tax) with a 27" LG 4k monitor ($250 + tax from Amazon.com)  is $1249 + tax which is $560 less than a similarly configured new 24" iMac ($1799 + tax)  re 07/2025. Keep your keyboard and mouse from your current Mac for use with the Mini.

I got the above Mini with a 32" LG 4K monitor w/speakers for only $60 more than the 27" (didn't know the Mini had a speaker).

4You could carry the Mini, 5" x 5" x 2" easily on the plane and get a monitor from a local electronics store when you get there.

Is there an Apple Authorized Service Provider where you're going. You could buy an iMac or Mini from them.

Most airlines will allow it to be checked however, check with the airline you will be using to be sure. To be honest, rather than taking it with you on your flight, consider shipping the computer using UPS, DHL, FedEx to your home. That way you can insure it and have it double boxed to protect it. It is not unknown that airport baggage handlers toss around baggage and a single boxed computer could get damaged.

It will not fit in a typical overhead luggage bin, if that's what you are asking.

I am planning to carry the imac through checked luggage ...

You don't generally carry things through checked luggage. You either check it or carry it on board. Anything can be checked, within reasonable limits.

Having said that there is no way I would ever baggage-check an iMac, or anything of value for that matter.
