Slow download speed on M4 Macbook compared to PC

I am seeing half the download speed on my M4 Macbook than I do with a PC (same wired connection). Any thoughts?

Disable AVB/EAV Mode: . In the Hardware section of your Ethernet settings, find the "AVB/EAV mode" switch. Turn

it off if you aren't using it for Audio Video Bridging, as it can

sometimes interfere with other Ethernet traffic, according to a Apple Support Community thread

To trouble shoot further you can:

I did all of the reset/restart suggestions before I sent the first note. Have discovered some things since then. I'm using wired Ethernet to a docking station. As mentioned before, when connecting up the Docking station to a Windows PC, I was getting the expected faster download speed. So, the slow connection does not appear to be due to Docking stations, router or modem.

However, I tried hooking the Docking Station to other thunderbolt ports on the Macbook. When connected to 2 of the three ports, I am able to get the faster download speeds. Connecting to the 3rd, I still see the slower speeds. So can work around the problem for now. But the specs for the Macbook suggest that all three ports should have the same capabilities - so not sure all is good there or not.
