Wi-Fi keeps dropping on iPhone 13 despite full signal strength

Have a iphone 13, of late the wifi keeps dropping off although the signal bars show full strength wifi, all other devices at home have no problems . Phone has lots if spare storage, no VPN on that could interfere either.

Talktalk have reset the router remotely,phone is updated , have done iphone reset as well.

Am not too tech savvy but any advice appreciated.

IF it is only when the phone’s screen is locked, that is by design to save battery energy. Wi-Fi will shut off 30 seconds after the screen locks unless the phone is connected to power.

If Wi-Fi drops when you are using the phone, that clearly shouldn’t happen. Things to check:

How close are you to the router? Signal strength drops quickly, especially on 5GHZ and 6GHZ bands, and it cannot penetrate walls very well.

Reset Network Settings:

Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Transfer or Reset Phone
- Tap Reset
- Tap Reset Network Settings

- This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but will not result in any other data loss.
