Finder thumbnail preview not working on photo/design files

MacOS 15 Sequoia / MacBook Air M1

File preview icons/thumbnails in Finder are missing or not working for Silhouette Studio files (.studio3 file extension). The previews/thumbnails are normally shown when the Silhouette Studio app is installed.

Things I have done in an attempt to resolve this issue:

• OS is updated (currently macOS Sequoia 15.6.1)

• Silhouette Studio app is updated (currently Silhouette Studio Business Edition Release 5.0.402ssbe)

• Show Icon Preview is selected in Finder View Options.

• Open with Preview.app is selected on the "Get Info" menu for .studio3 files.

• I have force-quit/restarted the Finder process.

• I have reset the QuickLook thumbnail cache.

• I have regenerated the PLIST files.

• I cleared the cache with Activity Monitor and relaunched Finder.

• I have completely shut down and powered off my macbook.

This wasn't an issue before the macOS15 upgrade, and has not been corrected with the following updates.
