Unable to control audio on iPhone

Without more details, it's going to be very hard to figure out what the right answer is. Please explain what it is your trying to do, what happens when you try and what steps you've already taken to try to fix the issue.

What do you mean by "sound button?" Do you mean the buttons on the side of the phone? There are two, one raises the volume and the other lowers it.

Can you adjust the volume from the screen? From the Control Center?
