This unwanted album was preloaded into iTunes and I want to remove it altogether. Online advice suggests I use <itunes.com/soi-remove> but this does not work; instead it asks me to upgrade iTunes which I have already done. How do I get rid of this dreadful music?

The album was gifted to Apple users on Sept 9, 2014, and the removal tool was made available less than a week later for those that did not want it. The tool remained usable for 4 years to give users who did not want it the ability to remove it on their own. If you had not removed it in those 4 years, then Apple can remove it for you.
