Is this MacBook Pro new, or new to you?

Because if it is not new but is new to you, the previous owner will have to remove their ownership before it can be transferred to you.

If this is a new Mac, make sure you don’t have the caps lock enabled.

I have the error message also. The caps lock is not on. I can’t restart due to the error message.

Did you also get a used and ownership-not-transferred Mac and then following the directions for transferring ownership did not work? If so, please start your own new thread. Please also provide some details about the configuration, and where it diverges from the thread here, too.
