My iPad 11th generation battery is dying quite quickly even though it is new and i have had it for less than a week. It is updated and even simple things drain the battery

Depending upon your iPad screen brightness (ideally no more than 30-40% of maximum) and CPU/GPU loading, you might reasonably expect your iPad to drain its battery at about 8-15% per hour of active use. High screen brightness and CPU/GPU intensive Apps will deplete the iPad's battery much faster.
