Apple Health - downgraded functionality on injection dosage?

When Apple Health first appeared, you could set up your injection medicine and then enter the dosage each time (a very common occurance for diabetics and perhaps others). It appears that Apple has now removed this functionality and you either have to create half a dozen different "medications" (because of the the dosage change) or create multiples (e.g. 6ml, 4ml, 2ml) as needed and then use multiple entries to match your actual dosage for the day. I looked at the "as need" option, but that again does not seem to be flexible. Am I missing something?
