Photos and videos locked on my MacBook Pro M4

I recently bought the MacBook Pro M4 super excited that I can finally use DaVinci resolve to edit my videos fast. I use a Sony A7iii camera with a Prograde card reader. All my photos show ‘locked’ and all the videos have a line going diagonally so when I open to view the videos are much darker and unable to edit; photos are also darker. I already tried the right click, get info, unlock etc so far it didn’t work. I’d really really appreciate any help and patience in writing a step by step guide in fixing this as I’m not an expert with these things. Thank you ❤️

Are you using RAW files? Not all RAW files are supported, and I didn't see your's on the list. Check this:

Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and visionOS 2 - Apple Support

Look at how many just Sony cameras are on this list! Every camera model and sub-model has its very own RAW format that's different from all the others. Apple doesn't seem interested in writing new code to support them all, and I find it hard to blame them for that. It makes you wonder why Sony (or Nikon, or ...) can't come up with a single format for all their cameras. I know that Nikon has its own NX Studio program for its files, and I imagine that Sony has an app that you can use.

You can use Adobe's free Digital Negative (DNG) converter to make a universally acceptable RAW picture file. This is the format that Lightroom uses when it creates a new (edited) RAW file, and Apple and Photos supports it.
