MacBook Air printing blank pages in preview mode.

updated to sequoia 15.6.1 and now can't print through the print preview - PDF pages are all blank. if I put the doc into notes, then it will print.

The fact that dropping the document into Notes and printing from there works confirms it’s not your printer or driver at fault, but rather something in the PDF rendering/printing pipeline inside Preview.

For now, you’ve got a few reliable workarounds until this can get resolved:

  • Instead of printing from Preview, try exporting the PDF first (File > Export as PDF), then open that exported version in another app like Adobe Acrobat Reader, Safari, or even Notes and print from there.
  • If you want to stay within macOS apps, Quick Look (press spacebar on the file in Finder) → print also tends to work fine.
  • Double-check if your printer has a driver update (sometimes printer manufacturers push small compatibility patches after macOS updates).
