USB drive is not showing in Finder but gives a "not ejected properly" warning when removed

My MAC's Finder does not show the USB drive, but when I dial it out, it shows that it was not ejected normally.

Check Disk Utility > Open Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. If the drive shows up there but is grayed out, select it and hit Mount.


Run First Aid in Disk Utility > this can fix a corrupted partition table.
