Is there still no way to disable desktop notifications from Airdrop?!?! I have to click on every single one to get them to go away! This is very, very... VERY!!! Annoying! 😖

You have to accept all Airdrop files even when coming from the same Apple Account. If you want to transfer a file without a Notification approval and using the same Apple Account, then use iCloud Drive.
