Switch Spaces via Trackpad is slower with ProMotion than with 60Hz

When switching spaces via three or four finger swipe while using the internal ProMotion Display of my MacBook Pro M4 Pro OR an external 120 Hz Monitor (connected via Thunderbolt), the animation speed is significantly slower than it is in 60 Hz mode. The strange thing I found is, that when I first booted my MacBook and set it up, the Animation speed in ProMotion was as fast as it is with 60Hz. The problem initially occurred when I connected the device to the monitor for the first time.
