HomePods 2nd generation playing music randomly

Homepod 2nd Gen is defective, the touch panel will eventually fail and start to act randomly. The only way to solve it is open it up and disconnect the touch panel cable. I did that with both of my homepods 2gen and they work flawless now. there are discussions in this page about how to do it

Apple really needs to recall this product.

I have the same problem. It's so annoying during sleeping at night. Also I can't control the volume while using the HomePods connected to my appletv. The volume keep going up all the time.
