Documents folder missing from Dock on MacBook Air
On my toolbar, the Docs folder is missing and is now a question mark instead. Where did it go?

What I know is the ? mark indicates it has lost its way to the original.

Drag it off The Dock(?) if that is your reference, then replace it from your Finder Sidebar by Control click on the Documents folder:
I am not sure what other tool bar you maybe referring to...
>Finder>Settings> Sidebar>Documents...(?)
