Can't eject SD card because FCP is using it.

I have asked this question before and was told to use the Eject button at the top left of the Import Window.

It worked back then for a while but now it doesn't.

Nor can I eject by control-clicking the SD icon on the desktop and selecting "Eject" or by dragging it to the trash.

Is there something else I have not tried apart from closing FCP?

Yes the import was definitely finished. Latest FCP and MacOS.

It looks as though it may be card related as it has been happening all the time for the last few weeks but shortly after I posted yesterday I used a different card from a different camera and it ejected with no problem.

EDIT: Just checked and the problematic card was a 64GB Integral Ultimata SDXC used in a Panasonic SD800 (1080p50) and the OK card was a 16GB Kingston SDHC from a Nikon P530 (shooting 1080p25 video).

Can't eject SD card because FCP is using it.
