Hello, my Apple ID was created as a teen account, but I am now 18 (DOB: 3******2). Please update my account to an adult account so I can enable “Allow Apps to Request to Track.”

Umm, it's current 2025. If you were born in 2002, you'd now be 23 years old, not 18...
Apple Accounts should automatically lift the age restrictions provided the date of birth associated with your account is correct.
If your phone is being managed by an Organizer in Family Sharing, then they must allow App Tracking in Screen Time for you on their device. The location is at Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allow Apps to Request to Track.
Do you really want to allow an app to track you? They may tease you with some feature to get you to turn it on, but they are really interested in gathering your personal information to sell to advertisers. Do you really want them to track your activity across apps and websites?
