Black bar on home screen after software update on iPhone

After my last software update, my hone screen now shiws a black bar on my hime screen. how do i fix it? it is located above the flashlight and and photo symbols shown on the walkpapwe oage. Tried to paste a photo into this comment, but it woul . Nothing to reproduce. It’s just now on my homepage every time. And I hate the Black. It kicks up a room and it does nothing. And I tried to post a picture of it in these comments, but it wouldn’t let me. Help.
