Payment Issue – Country Not Listed and Visa Card Not Working

Hello Apple Support Community,




I am experiencing difficulties with Apple purchases. When I try to set up payment, I cannot find my country (Somalia) in the country/region list. Additionally, when I attempt to add my Visa card, I receive an error message saying the card does not work and I should add another card.




Could you please guide me on:


  1. How to use Apple services (App Store, Apple Music, etc.) if my country is not available in the list?
  2. Whether there is an alternative way to link my Visa card, or another payment method I should use.


Your help and guidance will be highly appreciated.

- Apple does not do business in all countries, and in some countries the laws may prohibit certain services. You can view a list of regions where the Apple App and Media Stores are available by clicking the following link: Availability of Apple Media Services - Apple Support , and iCloud+ here —> iCloud+ plans and pricing - Apple Support and here —> iOS and iPadOS - Feature Availability - Apple

- If you’d like to see more features added for a specific region, please submit feedback to Apple directly here: Product Feedback - Apple


If you are trying to use a different country's store you will probably need a card billed to you at an address in that country. Apple's app and media distribution is limited by region and Apple's requirements make it difficult to circumvent those restrictions.
