Music on Mac skips two songs backwards

Apple Music on my MacBook with macOS 15.6 (24G84) -- latest at the time of writing -- skips two songs backwards when pressing the keyboard shortcut or clicking the "previous song" button within the Music app.

Example:

Play song#1

Play song#2

Play song#3 <-- press "previous song"

Apple music now plays song#1. Pressing "next song" now jumps back to song#3.

Pressing again "previous song" selects again song#1. And so on.

It's like song#2 was never played. Happens with and without repeat or shuffle enabled (any combination).

Pressing "previous song" on song#2 stops playback, since there it would try to select song#0, which does not exist in the history.

Seems to only reproduce within the first 6 songs within the "Songs" section. From 7 onwards, the correct behavior is respected.

I can't recall when this started happening for me also, but it's been at least a couple years now. On both my M1 MacMini and M1 MacBook Air. Same problem you're having. On my MacBook, the previous track button is F7. Also with the previous track button within the Music app. I've also mapped media controls to my Logitech G502 Hero wired mouse, and the problem persists. Currently running Sequoia 15.6.1.

Although the previous track button functions as it should on my iPad and iPhone.

Sooooo annoying! lol
