Unable to open Photobooth video on MacBook with M1 chip

I filmed a video on Photobooth today and someone closed the lid of my laptop without turning the video off and now I can see the video in my desktop but I can’t open or play it. It just says file can’t be opened with QuickTime Player and I tried VLC. I have an M4 chip

it seems like that the video format has become corrupted i am afraid. Have you tried to change the extension to .mp4 (change the name of the file, change the extension at the end) to see if you can open the video this way?
