I'd had these experiences months ago and switched HDMI cables to ensure stability. Since I updated to 15.6 every now and then I get 3-4 second blackouts on my Asus MX27UC, 4K display. I restart if it occurs which seems to remedy the problem but curious if others with a Mac Mini are experiencing this..Not a big deal one way or the other since everything else works well. Thanks
The cable isn't Asus, the display is..As stated originally, I replaced the older one with a shorter new one..the infrequency of these 2 second blackouts tells me its unlikely its a cable
Not sure what's going on with this page, but I generated the Etrecheck report and can't figure out how to add it.
I saved the report as both Etrecheck format and PDF but when clicking Additional text I'm unable to post it

I see nothing in the etrecheck report to suggest a software related issue that would cause the Blink In or Blink Out and On again of the Display
Odd..I usually have Firefox and Word open and nothing else..what do you mean by VM? Also curious if I should turn off MS Office update. Thanks
Try disabling login items, the delete the .plists listed under clean up:

Thanks for the explanation..like all Mac users, the external drive is used for manual Time Machine backups. Since I have plenty of space on the silicon drive, its not being used for storage or boots.
In Activity Monitor>Show all processes, sort on Memory, wt uses te mot?
this is how current log in items appears..I'm using Word to write a novel so I've left One Drive and Licensing turned on..

Must be a report agent since the Launch Daemons folder is empty (see screen shot)
When MS updates are disabled in start up, it also disables the ability to update so I've turned it back on.
Are you looking in Library, or ~/Libray?
The will require disabling SIP.
