When will my MacBook Air be delivered if it’s stuck in UPS customs?

Order Number: W1******86

Order Date: August 4, 2025

I ordered the MacBook Air M4. While the estimated delivery date was August 17, it has still not been delivered. Since August 11, it has been held for customs clearance. When I contacted Apple customer service, they stated that the problem could be solved more quickly. Since I sold my old computer, I cannot do my work on the PC. There is still the same notification in ups cargo, how many days after the new MacBook cargo delivery will take place. Why do we have such problems with a big brand like Apple?

From my experience, once an item ships; Apple has no control over any shipping delays, that is why the date is an estimate.

I have done the same as you, panicking and making phone calls. That won’t help and you won’t get answers from anyone that would be satisfactory.

The only advice I have is patience. It will arrive when possible. You are not alone. Other customers are also facing the same shipping delays.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉

We cannot know, and Apple won't see your issue in these user-to-user forums. We are not able to research such issues.

We can however share experiences. Are you in the US? We had a similar but shorter customs delay in buying two Macs on the same order last March:

— Mrs AJ's new M4 iMac was made in Thailand and shipped through with no delays, arriving one day earlier the the estimate.

— My M4 Pro Macbook Pro was made in Vietnam and was held in customs in Anchorage AK for several days. However, it arrived only two days after the estimated date.

I saw another post in the last two weeks of a Macbook Air made in Vietnam being hung up in customs.

Only the carrier or Customs can help at this point.

If you believe that it will help others, you can send Apple feedback abut this situation using this:

Feedback - MacBook Air - Apple

Although it is intended for reporting use issues, it will reach an Apple employee.

Look for your Apple product when the shipper has notified it is out for delivery and it is brought to your door.

No one here, nor Apple for that matter, has any control over the product once it is in the custody of the shipper. If the latter communicates about delays to Apple, you may receive an updated email from Apple with a revised (expected) delivery timeframe.

BayBreezeA:

If you’re in the U.S. and have been following recent news reports, U.S. Customs processing appears to be in a general state of man-made disarray.

Items are apparently languishing in customs for lack of clear and authoritative guidance on what any particular tariff might need to be collected from any particular importer based on any particular source country at any particular point in time.

DHL has even stopped some U.S.-bound shipments altogether until the “dust settles.”
