MacBook Air 15" M2 stuck in recovery boot cycle

Hello all!

Trying to figure this issue out. My Mac went into recovery mode and I cannot restore it. Please note the following behaviors:

1- Upon attempting to boot, I get the continue to hold for system options screen which transitions to the loading options screen. It sits for a few seconds and then reboots back into the same cycle over and over. after a few cycles its stops and gives me a blank screen with the cursor in the upper left corner. In this state the laptop is completely non responsive. No keys work including the power button and I have to wait for the battery to die to get out of this state. When power is given, it starts the cycle again.

2- When the laptop is cycling, I am about to put the laptop in DFU mode. Apple Configurator sees this and I can start the restore however once the install starts the laptop comes out of DFU mode. I get the apple logo for a few seconds, a restart and then its goes back to cycling from bullet 1. This also occurs with revive. The host laptop is a T2 Mac running sequoia (according to apple this should not be a factor)

3- The laptop will boot into options seemingly randomly. When this happens the laptop functions as normal - I can access all options and restore - however once the restart happens from the initial install process - the laptop goes back to cycling.

4- The only time the laptop recognizes that I'm pressing the power button is when I'm putting the laptop in DFU mode however pressing it is not turning the laptop off, but the laptop is just seeing that its pressed when it cycles.

Any ideas?

A lot of good work there in trying to trouble shot this issue

Supposedly this type of issue, DFU and Apple Configurator was resolved with Sequoia 15.6

Though, in your case, seems not
