IOS Mail threads unrelated emails

Mail for iPhone sometimes groups / threads emails with very different subject lines, they may share some recipients but the discussion content have nothing to do with each other. Can we PLEASE have more control over this feature?! Just identifying subject line is all we need, it shouldn’t go looking for other criteria! The only option is disabling threading altogether which spreads conversations out unnecessarily. Could we have these extra options in settings for future IOS, or could we identify a thread which is not grouped properly and seperate ONLY that thread in the “swipe” options?

Wondering which iOS version is installed on your iPhone:

Your Post says: iPhone SE, iOS 17

If your iPhone is SE2 or later: About iOS 18 Updates - Apple Support says iOS 18.6.1 is the latest version.

Apple support's online article for iOS18: Change your Mail settings on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says

"Threading: Turn on Organize by Thread to group emails in a conversation together in your message list.

Adjust other settings for how threads appear and muting threads."

As we are all Apple users, like yourself, in thia user-to-user Community, no-one here can do as you ask.

Also, Apple is unlikely to see your request here..
