Where can I purchase the MacBook Air laptop with the M1 chip. It’s not online and I don’t like the look of the laptop with the m4 chip. If I walk into an Apple Store would they have those available for purchase?

The only place you might find a MacBook Air with an M1 chip directly from Apple is the refurbished section of their website: Refurbished Mac - MacBook Air - Apple
It is unlikely that an Apple store would have these in stock for you if you went in person.
The M1 MacBook is no longer sold by Apple, except maybe online as a Refurbished Mac Deals - Apple.
Apple's Certified Refurbished Macs are exactly that - manufacturer refurbished to factory standards and sold with the same one year warranty as any new Mac.
You will no longer find the M1 MacBook at any Apple Store.
