How can I stop my hard drive from floating on Mac desktop?

Refer to image below and the setting used while running macOS 15.6 Sequoia

I can shutdown the machine at the end of the day, Startup the machine the next morning and the Macintosh HD of the Internal Drive will always be presented in Top Right of the Desktop

An aside

On the Other two computers also with Sequoia 15.6 and the exact same setting as in image

The Internal Macintosh HD is also always presented in Top Right of the desktop

The implications being that your experience seems to be a localized issue unique to your computer setup

Why not view the Desktop folder in a Finder window?

Or drag the drive to the right side of the Dock?
