Applying for a second Apple Credit Card with a different Apple ID

You’ll need to cancel your account, wait 30 days and reapply. Apple intends for each user to use their own Apple ID. This insures greater privacy and security for each user. The card is tied to not only your Apple Account (formerly known as Apple ID) but your Social Security Number as well.

The underlying financial institution will do the same credit check on YOU, not on your Apple-ID, and trying to open a second card from any provider counts slightly against your credit worthiness.
