Mail issues with Malwarebytes VPN on Mac
Is it worth using VPN on a Mac? I am having issues with sending emails from Mail, turn off VPN and it is OK!

VPNs have no use for general web access. The only encryption is between you and the VPN. Everything between the VPN and the site you're visiting is in the clear, as if there were no VPN at all.
And that's only true if you're visiting a non-secure site. Almost all sites now use https. Which means your browser and the site have already negotiated a one-time use encryption key. When you visit such a site though a VPN, all the VPN is doing is uselessly encrypting the already encrypted data.
No, you do not need a VPN. The only use is for a "tunnel" into an employers servers, where their IT department would have the specific settings/VPN to use for access.
Many thanks for your reply, I will turn it off.
