Apple Watch and iPhone not counting steps in Fitness app

My watch won’t count the steps using the fitness app and my phone won’t ethier but health will all the setting are correct and I’m up to date on updates so I really need some help I can use another app in the meantime time but I for like it as much as I do the fitness app
